WARM BREEZE

I would not change the spring time of the year of anything! Everything wakes up, the nature, the animals, and the people. All my three kids are born in spring time. The smell of fresh grass, flowers, fresh breeze in the air, warm touch of sunlight, I would not want to miss none of this. And yes, it’s the time to start with our garden preparation. I have had in plane to plant the peas earlier this year, but was no able to handle it because of the snow & my pregnancy. We really enjoyed our first weekend in the garden…..and I cant wait for many others still to come!

WINTER GARDEN PARTY…WHY NOT?

Spending time with my dear friends is always very pleasant for me.  Maybe that’s the main reason, why I like to invite them to our garden in spring and summer time. Plenty of kids, good food and wine, lots of fun and memories which last for ever are always a good reason, why to have them all around. The snow conditions have become very good in last few weeks even for Bratislava – which is 1000% better than it was last year. Some of you may remember that we had probably 4 to 5 days with snow down here last year! Therefore we decided to do our traditional garden party - but a WINTER one this time. OH MY GOD! What a fun it was. I was so happy for the kids! Snow tubing, skiing – in the garden, building a snow man, eating fresh home made donuts and cakes from grand mums, boiled wine, home made cabbage soup prepared in a kettle, plenty of talks with friends – the time has stopped for a day! I wish we all would have more time to meet often in situations like this one. I’m pumped with positive energy and beautiful memories………………I thank for days like this!

I have this little secret garden….one of my passions. Love to dig in the ground in the early spring, plant wedges, fruits and greens, watching my children how they love to play in the garden, eat the results of our work without yearning. It is a treasure – everyone enjoying gardening will understand. And I find this place very magical in winter time. Sleeping, waiting to get ready for spring …………… it is my sleeping beauty!

Once upon a time, there was a garden……Yes, I feel like in a fairytale, when the spring begins. It is the second season now, which I can say: “Yeap! Have to plant the tomatoes this weekJ!” I love it, I love it…I just love it. I grew up in a family, where both of my grant parents used to spend plenty of time in the garden.  Spending time with grand pa, helping to plant carrots, potatoes, lettuce….and all the other lovely fruit and vegetables, have made me in some way the person who I am today. Learning to be patient, appreciate what the nature gives us….that grew in me very strongly. I’m happy to show my kids today what I have been told in the past. To see how they know all the fruits and greens – end even love to eat them – is special to me ….   Oh! And we have had also a small lesson about frogs this time, as you may see J

Kde bolo, kam bolo, bola raz jedna záhrada. .......Áno, vždy keď príde jar sa cítim ako v rozprávke. Už druhú sezónu môžem s kľudom povedať: „Hej veru, musím zasadiť paradajky tento týždeň J!“ Jednoducho, trávený čas v záhrade mám naozaj rada. Vyrastala som v rodine, kde mali starí rodičia k záhrade veľmi blízko. Trávenie času s dedkom pri sadení mrkvy, zemiakov, šalátu a všetkej tej pestrej zeleniny a ovocia, ma istým spôsobom tiež urobilo tým človekom, ktorým som dnes. Učiť sa trpezlivosti, vážiť si to, čo nám vie príroda dať......to vo mne vyrástlo veľmi silno. Som šťastná, že môžem aj mojim deťom odovzdať toto krásne tajomstvo.  Vidieť ako poznajú všetky druhy ovocia a zeleniny, a ešte k tomu ich aj bez problémov zjedia – je pre mňa fakt špeci......Oh! A na začiatok sme taktiež mali malú vyučovaciu hodinu o žabách, ako môžete vidieť J
